Press Release: Cedric Kushner’s Gotham Boxing will presents “David and the Rising Stars,” on Thursday, February 22, 2007 at the Roseland Ballroom in New York City. In the main event, heavyweight slugger David Tua goes for his fifth straight victory as he eyes a return to world championship contender status against tough Philadelphian Robert Hawkins (21-6, 7 KOs). "Tua Man", 46-3-1 with 40 KOs, has defeated the likes of former champions Hassim Rahman, Michael Moorer, and John Ruiz, and current WBC champion Oleg Maskaev during his career. The  undercard is stockpiled with New York City talent.  Gotham’s newly signed Peter “Kid Chocolate” Quillin (8-0, 7 KOs) of New York City brings his knockout punch and exciting style to Roseland for the second time where he will look to extend his unbeaten string to nine. Bronx star Jorge “The Truth” Teron (14-0-1, 9 KOs) will also be making his second Roseland appearance when he sees action on the 22nd.  Coming off an eighth round TKO over Lorenzo Bethea on December 8th at the Huntington Townhouse, “The Truth” is a three-time New York Golden Gloves champion who is trained by Mark Breland and managed by Steven Heid.
