Kimbo Slice KO1 Ray Mercer (MMA exhibition)... In a fight that was ultimately sanctioned as an MMA exhibition, 1984 Olympic medalist and former WBO heavyweight titlist Ray Mercer sunk to an all-time low. Mercer lasted just 72 seconds against Kevin Ferguson, aka Kimbo Slice. After Slice took Mercer down, the two rolled around on the canvas for a while until Mercer succumbed to a Slice chokehold in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Slice is a former homeless man and bodyguard for a pornography director who had no professional fighting experience. However, Slice made a name for himself posting videos of his underground fights on Internet sites such as youtube. Those videos revealed Slice as a powerful but unskilled brute who could fight hard for about a minute and a half before becoming exhausted. That Mercer could lose to him is a complete disgrace. source: the phanatic magazine
