Navarro to return in two weeks

The uncrowned junior bantamweight champion, Jose Navarro, has his next bout scheduled for May 20, 2005 in San Antonio, Texas at the Airport Convention Center.  He was unequivocally robbed of the WBC 115-pound title when he dominated Katsushige Kawashima in Japan but wound up losing by hometown decision on the official scorecards. Sources have informed Boxingtalk that Navarro likely will be facing a Peruvian veteran, Ruben Poma, 22-9-3.  Navarro will be entitled to another chance at the WBC belt but first, Kawashima is slated to participate in a Japanese super fight against Masamori Tokuyama.  Kawashima won the title from Tokuyama in 2004 by knockout after losing their first encounter by decision. Kawashima-Tokuyama III is scheduled for July 18, 2005 in Osaka.
