Narh-Palyani for Pennsylvania state title!

Press Release: On the Mike Tyson undercard in Youngstown, Ohio on Friday, hard-hitting Ray Narh knocked out veteran Justo Sanchez in six rounds. The 28-year-old Narh used the match as a warmup for his November 17, 2006  bout at the New Alhambra in Philadelphia where he and unbeaten lefty Ramazan Palyani meet for the vacant Pennsylvania lightweight championship.  Narh’s record now is 19-1with16 K0s, including an eight-round decision last May 5 over California’s Steve Quinonez.  CN8 will televise the Palyani-Narh fight on one-day delay (Nov. 18, 7 pm) to more than nine million homes from Maine to Virginia.  Palyani, 33, recently returned to Philadelphia from Georgia in the former Soviet Union where he scored three knockouts in a span of 51 days.  Palyani had boxed a 12-round draw with lightweight contender David Diaz, on December 10, 2005, in Rising Sun, IN. A pro since 2001, Palyani, a lefty, is 14-0-1, 8 K0s.   The Nov. 17 card is being promoted by Peltz Boxing Promotions, Inc., and Joe Hand Promotions, in association with Hooters.  Tickets are on sale at the offices of Peltz Boxing Promotions, Inc.
