Napa's valleys can turn into a peak on March 9th

Press Release: On March 9, 2007 in London, Ian Napa will challenge Simone Maludrottu, 24-1 with 10 KOs, for the European bantamweight title. Napa, 13-5 with NO KOs has the chance to achieve the recognition he deserves and the Londoner is out to prove that his brains are more than a match for Maludrottu’s brawn. “Maludrottu is strong but he is crude,” said Brian Lawrence, Napa’s trainer, “Whereas Ian has the gift to outbox anyone.” Napa, 28, knows this may be the last roll of the dice following his points loss to Belfast’s Damaen Kelly in November 2005. Napa, who won the Southern Area Flyweight title in his fifth professional bout, is reported by his trainer to be in tip-top form and acting “like an assassin” in training. Jamie Moore, 25-3, a fighter clearly on the upswing, is another looking forward to the same show, which will be at Dagenham’s Goresbrook Leisure Centre. Moore will be fighting an opponent still to be named. His most recent victory was a tenth-round stoppage of Matthew Macklin in September 2006. Tickets are available by logging onto www.frankmaloney.com or by calling the Box Office at 0871 226 1508 or televised live on Sky TV.
