NYC to host Muy Thai show this week

Press Release: Muay Thai kickboxers from all over the world will compete at New York City's Roseland Ballroom this Thursday. The card will feature both amateur and professional bouts, including two title fights and matches between the most sought-after female martial artists fighting today. Headlining the evening will be a match between two of the most famous professional women kickboxers in the world: Emily Bearden against Christine Toledo. In a regional super middleweight title match, Sean Hinds of the United States will take on Russia's Sergey Kopachev. Also on the card will be Holland's Naoufal El-Hamchaoui vs. Shinichi "Condor" Oono of Japan in a regional title match at junior middleweight. "New York has become the national focal point for Muay Thai kickboxing, a martial art with origins in the ancient battlefield tactics of the Siamese, or Thai army," explained Five Points gym co-owner Kevin McGrath. Ticket information is available at (212) 226-4474 or info@5pointsfitness.com.
