Raymond Muratalla W12 Robson Conceicao...Before Roach and Zepeda went head-to-head in Las Vegas, another version of the lightweight championship was on the line. Raymond Muratalla made the first defense of his IBF lightweight title, defeating Brazil's Robson Conceicao. Now 21-4-1, the Brazilian Conceicao failed to make the most of an opportunity to become a two-division champion. (he briefly held the WBC 130-pound title in 2024). Now 25-0, Muratalla's constant pressure, and power punches in the latter stages took their toll on Conceicao who was struggling to find openings, even when he tried to be creative with his strategy. The 29year-old American was a convincing winner on all three judges' scorecards after twelve rounds.
