Murad Says Pacquiao-Morales, Done In Principle

Pacquiao To 130?

Manny Pacquiao promoter Murad Muhammad told Boxingtalk.com that he and Bob Arum have reached an agreement in principle to stage WBC/IBF junior lightweight champ Erik "El Terrible" Morales versus featherweight king Manny Pacquiao on HBO PPV November 6. The venue has yet to be determined and the contracts haven't been signed, but Muhammad said a west coast venue was probable and he expects to have the deal "done" by late next week. Morales Vs. Pacquaio (at 130) would be HBO PPV's thrid of the month. Mark Taffett was unavailable for immediate comment. Muhammad also said, "Pacquiao has no problem fighting him at 130. He wants this fight, he wants to fight the best out there and Morales is a true champion and true warrior. Barrera said he wasn't ready yet, and after the first fight that's understandable. Bob Arum has all the little guys we need and Morales is the biggest of them all." Boxingtalk.com also understands that Golden Boy Promotions doesn't want to lose the Morales fight to Pacquiao, and negotiations between Team's Morales and Barrera are ongoing as well. Richard Schaeffer was unavailable for immediate comment, we will keep you updated.
