HBO Pay-Per-View announced today that the July 15 rematch between junior middleweights Shane Mosley and Fernando Vargas generated 350,000 buys and $17.5 million in revenue.  The announcement was made by Mark Taffet, senior vice president, HBO Sports.  The 350,000 buys consisted of  180,000 from cable homes and 170,000 from satellite homes. “We’re very satisfied with the pay-per-view performance of this event,” said Taffet. HBO will replay Mosley-Vargas II as well as present the live welterweight championship fight between Carlos Baldomir and Arturo Gatti this Saturday night at 10:00 p.m. ET/ 7:00 p.m. PT.
