WBA cruiserweight champion Jean-Marc Mormeck is training for his unification bout against Braithwaite at the Don King Productions facility near Cleveland, Ohio. As Boxingtalk reported some time ago, Mormeck has brought in Kevin Cunningham from St. Louis, who is best known for training and managing the welterweight champion of the world, Cory Spinks. “We’ve watched some tapes of Braithwaite,” Cunningham said. “We are adding a few minor things that may help him out like head movement, defense and combinations. He’s catching on pretty good.” There is one small problem between Mormeck and Cunningham: they don’t speak the same language. “He’s got an interpreter and everything is great,” Cunningham said.
