Giovanni Alvarez goes for the vacant WBA Int?l 175 lb title against Danish-based Congolese Lolenga Mock on the big PPV bill in Copenhagen November 12 topped by Siaca v Larsen (WBA 168). Alvarez was originally to have fought Latvian Elvis Michalenko but he is rumored to have priced himself out. Also added to the bill is supermiddle Martin Nielsen who takes on Frenchman Karim Bennama with the vacant IBF Youth belt at stake. There are now all in all five title fights announced for the show that will include 12 bouts.

The EBU have appointed Vitaly Tsypko as official challenger for its supermiddle titleholder Rudy Markussen. Sauerland Events, who promotes Tsypko have already announced intents to get the fight to Germany early 2005. Markussen won the title from another Sauerland fighter, Danilo Haussler in July but have since been sidelined with injured hands. Tyspko is also expected to face Jeff Lacy next, Boxingtalk will continue to keep you updated.
