Arce stops Hussein, Castillo dominates Morel!

In 2005's fight of the year thus far, Erik "El Terrible" Morales won a close hard fought unanimous decision over featherweight king Manny Pacquiao tonight at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. All three judges scored the fight 115-113 in favor of Morales.

WBA junior bantamweight champion Martin Castillo easily defeated former champion Eric Morel by unanimous decision. All three judges scored the fight 119-109 for Castillo.

Former WBC 108 pound champ Jorge Arce stopped Hussein Hussein in a very exciting flyweigt bout. Much of the action was give and take but Arce's caught a second wind that blew Hussein away in the late rounds. After Arce dropped Hussein with a barrage of power shots,  his trainer Jeff Fenech entered the ring to stop the bout at 2:07 of round ten.

Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. improved to 17-0 while bashing the overmatched Ryan Maraldo from pillar to post until the fight was mercifully stopped at with four seconds left in the third round.
