Press Release: Undefeated Adrian Mora (12-0-1) will take on Ricardo Fuentes (17-4) in the co-main event of an Altitude Sports and Entertainment televised boxing event promoted by Aurelio Martinez at the Ikon Center in Cheyenne, Wyoming on April 24. Headlining will be Denver’s own Donald Camarena against James Crayton in a 12 round contest. Mora recently broke into the national rankings when he made a bold move and hit the road to fight Steve Quinonez. Mora outpointed Quinonez via ten-round decision.
Mora, again chose to take on a tough customer as he traveled to El Paso, Texas to fight world contender Juan Carlos Rubio. Mora threw a wrench into the plans of contender Rubio as he denied him a victory. The fight ended in a draw, never, was talk about a rematch perused. Fuentes sees this fight as his big opportunity to get back on the fast track. By defeating Mora, Fuentes can get back on track and move forward to challenge for a world title.
After defeating Jairo Ramirez in Las Vegas last year, Fuentes moved up in class to fight undefeated Almazbek Raiymkulov and Ebo Elder. Coming up short in both fights, Fuentes feels this fight with Mora is what his career needs and a win would put him back in a positive direction.
The Mora - Fuentes contest will precede the main event Camarena vs. Crayton for the WBC Continental Americas championship.
The undercard will include super middleweights - Ayodeji Fadeyi, Denver, Colorado vs. Isreal Garcia, Mexico City, Mexico, Welterweights - Marvin Cordova, Pueblo, Colorado vs. Andre Beckett, Philadelphia, PA. Opponents are being sought for Russel Jones, Ghana, Africa and Jesus Noriega, Longmont, Colorado. Featured attraction will be Cheyenne’s own George Garcia making his professional debut against trial horse Daniel Almanza, Greeley, Colorado.
