Sergio Mora W12 Vernon Forrest: Sergio Mora successfully made the transition from contender to champion as he dethroned WBC junior middleweight champion Vernon Forrest in a major upset on Showtime Championship Boxing. Forrest was in control of the early rounds but got winded midway through the bout, at which point Mora took control and did not relinquish it. Official scores were a majority decision on Mora's favor: 116-112, 115-113, 114-114.
