As a prelude to his main event, heavyweight Javier “Monster” Mora has been booked to appear on FSN’s “Best Damn Sports Show Period” on Monday night, May 22. Viewers should check their local listings for broadcast times.
Mora (20-2-1, 18 KOs), who is coming off a TKO victory over Kirk Johnson in a “Best Damn Sports Show Period” televised co-featured bout in March, will be an
in-studio guest to discuss his upcoming challenge against 2-time world title challenger Fres “The Big O” Oquendo (25-3, 16 KOs) in the main event of the special “Best Damn Fight Night Period” boxing telecast presented by Goossen Tutor Promotions three nights later at the Pechanga Resort & Casino in Temecula, CA.
A resident of Anaheim, CA, Mora, whose career is being guided by top-ranked heavyweight contender James “Lights Out” Toney and world class trainer Joe Goossen, is determined to become the first world heavyweight champion of Mexican descent. Toney, who has performed both inside and outside of the ring for “Best Damn Sports Show Period” boxing telecasts, will provide color commentary on the Mora-Oquendo fight.
