Montreal to host ten bout card!

Groupe Yvon Michel (GYM) has a mammoth card planned for its first visit to Montreal's Bell Centre on June 18th. No less than ten bouts are scheduled, and four regional titles will be on the line. Super middleweight Otis Grant (36-2-1, 17 KOs, rated #18 by Boxingtalk) will defend his WBC international belt against 2000 Olympian and current African champion, Charles Adamu of Ghana (13-2, 11 KOs). Heavyweights Patrice L'Heureux (15-1-1, 8 KOs) and Art Binkowski (13-0-2, 9 KOs) will battle for the former's Canadian heavyweight championship in a long awaited showdown and Sébastien Demers (9-0, 4 KOs) and Claudio Ortiz (6-7, 2 KOs) will battle for the Canadian junior middleweight championship recently vacated by Joachim Alcine. Finally, junior welterweight prospect Herman Ngoudjo (10-0, 8 KO) is poised to defend his regional title against an opponent to be decided. Several top GYM prospects will also be appearing on the undercard. Middleweight Jean Pascals and Paul Clavette, heavyweights Paul Mbongo and David Cadieux and super middleweight Alexandre Bouvier are all scheduled, but none of their opponents are yet known. The first two hours of the show will be broadcast on the TVA network from 4 to 6 PM, and after an hour's musical interlude, the event will resume at 7 on pay-per-view. Tickets are available now on the Admission network (www.admission.com or (514)790-1245), at Groupe Yvon Michel at (514)376-0980 or the Champion Boxing Club at (514)376-0980.
