After recently signing with M-1 Global, which partially triggered the controversial departure of Randy Couture from UFC, the #1 MMA heavyweight in the world, Fedor Emelianenko, is in need of an opponent.  The rough and rugged Jeff Monson, 23-7 with 16 KOs is in discussions with M-1 Global as a possible opponent.  Although this is not on the level of a super fight between Emelianenko and Couture, it would still be an acceptable opponent for fans to see an entertaining scrap.  Source: Sherdog
