Brazil's Whindersson Nunes will face My Mate Nate in Manchester next month on the Misfits Boxing show on DAZN and DAZN pay-per-view. The X Series October 14th edition will be headlined by a double main event as KSI tackles Tommy Fury and Logan Paul locks horns with Dillon Danis. Supporting those two showdowns, Nunes vs. Nate is the latest to be confirmed for the AO Arena. As previously anounced, the undercard will also feature Deen the Great in a rematch with Walid Sharks and King Kenny against Anthony Taylor. Chase DeMoor and Tempo Arts battle it out for the MFB heavyweight crown and there will be further match-ups revealed next week, when X Series 009 heads for Newcastle.
Nunes said: “This boxing story began when I wanted to fight Logan years ago, and so fighting on the same card as him means we're closer to that goal. I'm very happy to be in this giant organization, on the biggest card of all time, and on October 14th I will put on a show for the audience in Manchester.”
My Mate Nate said: “Manchester, I hope you are ready for a phenomenal night of crossover boxing action. My fight with Whindersson is going to be epic and the eyes of the world will be on us as we represent Thailand and Brazil. The Prime Card, live on DAZN, is the biggest show ever and I am privileged to be part of it. "
Mams Taylor, Co-President of Misfits Boxing, said: “I cannot tell you how thrilled I am to be able to deliver this huge fight for the fans on October 14th. The Prime Card was already massive, but this latest announcement takes everything to a whole new level and makes a historic event even more of a global spectacular. But hold onto your hats, because there are even more sensational fights to be announced very soon.”
Kalle Sauerland, Co-President of Misfits Boxing said: “Whindersson Nunes vs My Mate Nate is yet another gigantic addition to what is already going to be the biggest, and best, night of crossover boxing in history. And don’t take your eyes off the official X Series channels, because next week in Newcastle at X Series 009, the major announcements for The Prime Card keep on coming.”
Joe Markowski, DAZN North America CEO, said: “DAZN is thrilled to have Whindersson Nunes fighting on October 14th, bringing even more attention to this massive night of sports entertainment. The card is exceptional and getting better. We can’t wait to broadcast the event on October 14th. It promises to be a spectacle.”
