The Associated Press reported today that Lucia Rijker ruptured an Achilles tendon during training, forcing her pay-per-view fight with Christy Martin to be called off. The injury will require surgery.  Just one day prior to the injury, Rijker and martin conducted a conference call during which they both indicated their eagerness to finally face other after years of talk.  Amidst rumors that ticket sales for the July 30 bout in Las Vegas were very slow, the event's promoter, Bob Arum, said he was unsure if the bout would be rescheduled. The winner was to receive $1 million dollars.  -Scott Shaffer
