Press Release: Cappiello Promotions has announced that 122-pound contender Mike "Machine" Oliver (18-0, 7 KOs) will take on Vernie Torres (27-9, 15 KOs) in the main event of Alpha Omega's May 4, 2007 show  at the Mohegan Sun Arena, in Uncasville, CT. The Oliver-Torres bout will be televised on the New England Sports Network (NESN). In his most recent outing (February 16), Oliver earned a contorversial victory over then unbeaten Gary Stark in a great fight. Stark  entered the bout with Oliver fresh off a December 14, 2006 unanimous decision victory over Torres. An opponent has also been named for undefeated heavyweight Tony "TNT" Grano (8-0-1, 7 KO). Grano, the 2005 United States Amateur Heavyweight Champion, will be taking on Shaker Heights, Ohio's Mujaheed Moore (4-1, 3 KO), in a six-round undercard attraction.
