Mijares wins WBC interim belt!

Cristian Mijares W12 Masamori Tokuyama... While WBC super flyweight champion Masamori Tokuyama decides whether he wants to continue fighting, the WBC set up an interim title bout between former champion Katsushige Kawashima and Cristian Mijares. Mijares traveled to Yokohama, Japan from Mexico and won by split decision, 114-113 (twice) and 113-114.  Kawashima announced his retirement afterwards, while Mijares now waits for Tokuyama to make up his mind.  Left out in the cold was Jose Navarro, who was horribly robbed of a world title by a decision in favor of Kawashima in early 2005. Tokuyama then defeated both Kawashima and Navarro. Source: japan today
