Michaela Kotaskova W10 Mikaela Lauren... On Saturday night, November 30th at the Hotel InterContinental in Vienna, welterweight Michaela Kotaskova fended off the challenge of former junior middleweight titlist Mikaela Lauren from Sweden. After ten rounds of boxing, the judges scored it for Kotaskova, who is from Czech Republic but based in Austria. The tallies were  98-92 (twice) and 97-94. Lauren, by far the most experienced and accomplished opponent of Kotaskova's career, tried her best but it was never enough. Photos show Lauren suffered extreme facial swelling from the bout, possibly due to head clashes. A pro since April of 2022, Kotaskova is now 9-0-2, while the 48 year-old Lauren goes to 33-8-1 after more than fifteen years in the game. The fight was promoted by Boxteam Bounce.
