Michael Katsidis to Take On Jesus Chavez?

According to the Aussie newspaper the Age, the very exciting and hard punching Michael Katsidis is currently talking to former two time world champion Jesus Chavez.  Katsidis, who is coming off of a very exciting knockout loss to Joel Casamayor, sports a professional record of 23-1 with 20 knockouts.  Chavez, who has held the WBC title at 130lbs and the IBF title at 135lbs, has had a good career sidetracked by a string of injuries.  The fight is reported to be taking place in Houston TX on September 13th although nothing has been signed.  Katsidis trainer and manager Brendon Smith has been quoted as saying "Chavez is a former (two-division) world champion and had a good win the other night and there's been a little bit of talk with Jesus."  Smith also mentioned serious interest in fighting a rematch with Casamayor and also a fight with Juan Diaz and or Nate Campbell.  Source: AAP
