This Saturday (October 3rd) Polish heavyweight Kacper Meyna takes on former cruiserweight champion Víctor Emilio “El Tyson del Abasto” Ramírez. At age 27, the 17-1 Meyna will step into the ring with the youth and momentum on his side. He is known for his methodical aggression, strong punch volume at mid-range and respectable power. Against the 42 year-old Ramírez, Meyna’s primary task will be to make his reach and physical freshness count, control the center of the ring behind a commanding jab and neutralize the Argentine’s forward pressure before getting drawn into exchanges at close range. The winner of four straight low-level fights, Ramírez (34-5-1) brings veteran savvy, elite-level experience and the fighting spirit that carried him to a world title at cruiserweight in 2009.
