Press Release: Jesus Soto-Karass has been pulled off ESPN2’s Wednesday Night Fights card on July 5, 2006 with an injury. Stepping in for Soto-Karass will be undefeated welterweight Antonio Mesquita of Guaruja, Brazil, who holds an impressive recod of 32-0 with 25 KOs. Mesquita will face Neil Sinclair, 28-4. Also, David Medina, 10-1, will now be bumped to the co-main event. He will be fighting for a regional junior middleweight belt against Charles Blake, 8-6-1, of Escondido, CA.  The former co-headliner was Marvin Cordova. An apparent injury looked like it would sideline Cordova from this card but further test revealed no serious damage and he will still fight, but in a six rounder against an opponent to be named later in a swing bout. Cordova had this to say, " I'm willing and ready to go, for a minute there I was frustrated because I thought I was going to have to pull out, but hopefully I'll get the chance to show a national viewing audience what ‘Much 2 Much’ is all about"  Chantell Cordova is still scheduled to take on debuter Marqueza Cardova of Puerto Rico. Promoter Zef Ramirez’s newest signing, super middleweight Carlos De Leon Jr, will square off against Oscar Montono of Phoenix, Arizona. Ryan Peake will appear in a super middleweight bout against TBA. And just added to the line-up, bantamweight Torrence Daniels will fight in a four-rounder against Randy Ortega.  For ticket information: 928-530-9988 or 719-271-5400.
