McCall and Bell ready to take Superfighter by storm!

PRESS RELEASE: With the December 1st  event date approaching rapidly, Seminole Warriors Boxing Promotions’ undisputed cruiserweight champion O’Neil Bell and former world heavyweight champion Oliver McCall are training feverishly for their opportunity to win five million dollars in the inaugural ‘Superfighter’ tournament at Melbourne, Australia’s Telstra Dome.

For Bell, who will be making his heavyweight debut in the tournament, and McCall, who sees this as the perfect way to get himself back to a world title shot, ‘Superfighter’ is a once in a lifetime shot that couldn’t possibly be turned down.

“I’ve always wanted to check out the waters at heavyweight, and with my punch, talent, and heart, I believe I can become a world champion in the division,” said Bell (26-1-1, 24 KOs), who unified the cruiserweight championship in January with a stirring 10th round knockout of Jean-Marc Mormeck. “Superfighter gives me an opportunity to test myself against some of the best in the world and make five million dollars in the process.  It’s a win-win situation for me.”

McCall (48-8, 35 KOs), whose only blemish in his last eight fights is a no contest against fellow tournament participant Juan Carlos Gomez, ‘Superfighter’ allows him to get paid royally and get some royal payback.

“I’m not gonna lie.  I want to knock Gomez out, win the rest of my fights that night, get my five million, and then regain the heavyweight championship,” said ‘The Atomic Bull’, a former WBC world heavyweight champion who is only one of two people to knock out future hall of famer Lennox Lewis. “‘Superfighter’ is a great opportunity for me and I’m not gonna let it pass me by.”

“The Superfighter organization has been extremely professional in handling the business related to the event.  They have delivered on all of their obligations thus far and we look forward to an exciting, historic event,” said Leon Margules, Executive Director of Seminole Warriors Boxing.

The eight man tournament, which also includes Chris Byrd, Jameel McCline, Juan Carlos Gomez, and Tye Fields, will air live on pay-per-view in North America on Friday, December 1st.
