Mayweather heads home for the Holidays!

Morales switches gloves, Happy Birthday to Pacquiao!

PRESS RELEASE: World champion "Pretty Boy" Floyd Mayweather Jr. is off to his hometown where he will give holiday gifts to over 200 elementary students on Tuesday at the Job Corps Center in Grand Rapids, Michigan. "It's real cold and snowy in Grand Rapids so we're heading in with hats, gloves and books to give to the children," said Leonard Ellerbe of Team Mayweather. "There's nothing worse than seeing a child at a bus stop with no hat or gloves in this kind of weather."

"This is a great gesture by Floyd because it's been very rough here, cold and snowing for a week - every day - in Grand Rapids," said fight writer David Mayo of the Grand Rapids Press.

Mayweather is taking a flight this evening and he will be at the Job Corps Center at 10:30 am Tuesday. He has given back to his community for years, particularly during the holidays.

ERIK 'EL TERRIBLE' TRAINING WITH REYES GLOVES!

Three-time world champion Erik 'El Terrible' Morales has been wearing a puncher's glove, Reyes, while training to take on Manny Pacquiao in Top Rank's big "The Battle" Pay-Per-View on Jan. 21 at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas.

Morales, who usually wears Winning gloves, has made the switch while working out with his new trainer, Jose Luis 'Maestro' Sr., while training in Mexico.

Gloves were a big issue in the first Morales vs. Pacquiao fight. By contract, both fighters wore Winning. After the fight Freddie Roach, chief trainer for Pacquiao, said "those were the wrong kind of gloves for Manny."

For this fight, each fighter has a choice of gloves.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MANNY PACQUIAO!

Team Pacquiao - including Gary Shaw, Freddie Roach, Nick Khan and Keith Davidson - were with Manny Pacquiao at his 27th birthday party this past Saturday night in Los Angeles.

Pacquiao has been training at the Wild Card gym in Los Angeles. Morales vs. Pacquiao II is promoted by Top Rank in association with Wynn Las Vegas and will be held at the Thomas and Mack Center, Las Vegas, on Jan. 21. Morales vs. Pacquiao will be available on HBO Pay Per View.
