Mayweather Not that Big of a Favorite!

Despite being considered a major underdog by most media members, Ricky Hatton is just over +200 (2-1) in the Las Vegas betting lines.  Many in the boxing media say Hatton has no chance: Norm Frauenheim even stated that “Hatton is Arturo Gatti with Mick Jagger’s accent.”  But he betting lines simply do not reflect this sentiment.  Hatton is clearly a much more complete fighter than Arturo Gatti, not to mention he is the true world champion at 140 pounds.  Hatton is also undefeated at 43-0 with 31 knockouts and a pressure style fighter.  Pressure, many believe is the key to defeating the P4P #1 fighter in the world, Floyd Mayweather Jr.  At 38-0 with 24 knockouts, Floyd Mayweather is also the world champion at 147 and the bout with Hatton will be for Mayweather’s welterweight crown.  Source: OnlineSportsHandicapping.com
