Acoording to the Associated Press, Ricardo "El Matador" Mayorga was arrested Tuesday at the Managua, Nicaragua airport as he tried to get on board a plane bound for the United States. He was being held Wednesday in Leon, 50 miles northwest of the capital city of Managua on fraud charges. The complaining witness is Ramiro Sandino, a used car dealer in the city, who accused the boxer of failing to pay him $56,000 for four cars sold to Mayorga before his last fight, a loss to Oscar De La Hoya.
