Mayol triumphs in Mexico

Rodel Mayol TKO4 Lorenzo Trejo... At the WBC Night of Champions celebration in Cancún, in Quintana Roo, Mexico, minumweight power puncher Rodel Mayol stopped Lorenzo Trejo in round four.  Mayol floored Trejo in the first round with an over hand right.  Mayol won rounds two and three convincingly and then put Trejo down for the count with a vicious left uppercut.  Mayol, already rated #6 in the Boxingtalk ratings, is a guy to keep your eyes on, and a 105-pounder with his knockout ratio is something special.  With the win Mayol improves to 22-0 with 17 KOs while Trejo, rated #22 by Boxingtalk, falls to 24-13 11 KOs. source: TV Azteca

Rodolfo Lopez KO10 Freddy Blandon... In a featherweight war on the Cancun undercard, Rodolfo Lopez knocked out Freddy Blandon in the tenth round.  It was a back-and-forth fight the whole way through until Lopez landed a devastating left hook to Blandon to end the bout.
