Matt Godfrey gets new training team

Press Release:

Unbeaten cruiserweight contender Matt “Too Smooth” Godfrey has been joined in his corner by new head trainer “Iceman” John Scully and strength-and-conditioning coach Ross Enamait. Scully is a former world title challenger who trains former world titlist Jose Antonio Rivera, super bantamweight contender Mike Oliver and Israel “Pito” Cardona. Enamait, a former amateur boxer, is an innovative athlete and trainer who has designed programs specifically for boxers. “Scully is one of the hottest young trainers in boxing,” said Bret Hallenbeck, Godfrey's manager. “Not only was he a fighter, he fought for the world title, and has trained a world champion (Rivera). He’s known Matt for years. To become a world champion, Matt needs any edge he can get and there’s no replacement for being in the best physical condition as possible. We believe Ross can get Matt into great shape and together with John, Matt can reach the next level, which is a world championship. We’re delighted that they’re on Team  Godfrey.”
