Subriel Matias TKO8 Gabriel Gollaz Valenzuela ... Puerto Rican power puncher Subriel Matias won an IBF junior welterweight eliminator in his hometown of Fajardo on Saturday. Matias, who held the IBF title from 2023 to 2024, earned another title shot by stopping Gabriel Gollaz Valenzuela in round eight. Matias is now 22-2, and is in line for a shot at the current IBF champ, Richardson Hitchins. Given that Hitchins is a New Yorker and there are many Puerto Rican fans in the Big Apple, New York City would  be a logical venue for Hitchins-Matias. Gollaz Valenzuela sees a five-fight win streak end and falls to 30-4-1.
