One of the most prestigious events on the boxing calendar officially returns on Saturday, December 12th, as Matchroom Boxing, in partnership with Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer, stage Monte-Carlo Showdown VII. Taking place at the Salle des Étoiles, Sporting Monte-Carlo, no boxers have been named for this year's installment. In the past, this show has seen some of the sport’s biggest names shine under the glitz, glamour and bright lights of the Principality in the past, including the likes of Dmitry Bivol, Gennady Golovkin, Joe Cordina and Derek Chisora. Last year, Shabaz Masoud – who returns to action net week at Manchester’s Co-op Live against Ckari Cani Mansilla, defeated Liverpool’s Peter McGrail for the European super bantamweight belt in the main event.

 

And this year, Matchroom Sport Chairman Eddie Hearn says the event will see some huge fights for its seventh instalment. “Our annual Monte-Carlo Showdown is one of the most eagerly awaited fixtures in the sport and we cannot wait to return to the Principality this December,” said Hearn. As always, it will be a special spectacle, with a host of big fights lighting up the card – all live on the Global Home of Boxing, DAZN. We are immensely grateful to our magnificent hosts at Sporting Monte-Carlo, along with the ever-present Michael Wittstock and the Prince of Monaco, Albert II, who have long championed this incredible event.”

 

Monte-Carlo Showdown VII takes place on Saturday, December 12th, 2026, at the Salle des Étoiles, Sporting Monte-Carlo, and will be broadcast live worldwide on DAZN.
