Eddie Hearn and Matchroom announced the signing of one of boxing’s biggest stars, three-division champion Shakur Stevenson. The WBC lightweight champion (24-0 including the World Series of Boxing) will defend his championship against former IBF junior lightweight king Joe Cordina on October 12th in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Stevenson-Cordina will take place on the same shiw in which Dmitry Bivol and Artur Beterbiev contest the undisputed world light heavyweight championship. A future showdown with mandatory challenger William Zepeda awaits the winner – and Stevenson is confident he will set-up a mega-fight with the undefeated Mexican.
