Oleg Maskaev W12 Sinan Samil Sam... Oleg Maskaev, breathed new life into his heavyweight career, defeating Sinan Samil Sam in Hamburg, Germany by decision. Maskaev, whose career has been on the decline for several years, could not have won at a more opportune time. Although the WBC heavyweight picture has been thrown into confusion by recent-champion Vitali Klitschko's retirement, the win could mean the WBC requires newly annointed titlist Rahman to fight Maskaev either before or as part of Don King's proposed heavyweight tournament.
