Dennis Rappaport, promoter of WBC heavyweight champion Oleg Maskaev has informed Boxingtalk.com that Maskaev has yet to sign on for his mandatory defense against Samuel Peter, scheduled to take place at Madison Square Garden on October 6. Rappaport stated that he is "still" awaiting a WBC response to clarify several concerns of Team Maskaev as it relates to DKP promoting the October 6 bout.
