Martin Castillo to stay busy in Chicago this weekend

Press Release: October 26, 2007 marks the Chicago debut of former 115-pound champion Martin Castillo, 32-2, of Mexico City as he battles Jonathan Perez, 13-2 in a ten-round super flyweight main event. Castillo has won two in a row since his battle with Nobuo Nashiro on July 22, 2006 in Japan was stopped on cuts resulting in Castillo losing his world title. Perez, a native of Barranquila, Colombia, lost two outstanding battles this year against Alejandro Hernandez in Phoenix, Arizona and Eric Ortiz in Miami, Florida. The co-main event features the  Chicago return of world ranked and undefeated junior flyweight Giovanni Segura, 18-0. The all action Segura, has scored knockouts in Chicago over Daniel Reyes and Jesus Martinez this year. Segura, a native of Mexico, now fighting out of California will battle Colombian Wilfrido Valdez, 23-2-3 in a scheduled ten rounder.
