Marquez successful in comeback!

Raul Marquez TKO9 Miguel Hernandez... At the Coushatta Casino in Louisiana, former IBF  junior middleweight titleholder Raul Marquez made his comeback a successful one against tough-as-nails Miguel "Macho" Hernandez. In what was one of the best fights ever at the Coushatta, Marquez and Hernandez traded blows non-stop for nine rounds until Marquez dropped Hernandez with a barrage of punches at 1:39 of the round. Hernandez rose from the first knockdown of his career at the count of eight but the referee wisely stopped the fight with Miguel not yet fully recovered. Although in 2004 he was stopped by current world champion Jermain Taylor, Marquez looked will now look for a possible showdown with one of the top middleweights as he moves to 36-3. Hernandez dips to 19-4 but should not be ashamed of his brave performance.

Ann Wolfe TKO2 Cassandra Geiger... In another comeback Ann Wolfe raised her record to 23-1 with a two-round destruction of Cassandra Geiger. Wolfe came out firing in round one and finished her foe off in the second. Geiger didn't seem like she wanted to be in the ring and did not offer much resistance. This was a rematch of their 2004 fight which Wolfe also won, but by a decision. Geiger drops to 6-8.
