Manfredo returns quickly after last week's debacle

Peter Manfredo Jr. KO1 Melvin Russell...  Peter Manfredo Jr. barely broke a sweat in his return to professional boxing this past Saturday, and "The Pride of Providence" Peter Manfredo Jr. has already booked his next fight, set for  Saturday, December 7th at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut.  Manfredo Jr. ended a three-year layoff this past Saturday with a 79-second knockout of Melvin Russell in Rhode Island, his first fight since a 2016 draw against Vladine Biosse. [Editor's note: Russell gave a pathetic performance, taking a ten count from what appeared to be a tap on the mid-section. As soon as he went down, an angry Manfredo gestured for Russell to get up, but Russell stayed down. Manfredo then appeared to gesture to his corner that Russell was putting on an act. The only Youtube video of the bout has been edited to skip over the knockout punch during the live action sequence. Russell should be suspended and his purse should be withheld in our opinion].

Manfredo (41-7-1, 22 KOs) steps up in class on December 7th to face hard-hitting Colombian Milton Nunez (37-22, 32 KOs) in the ten-round main event of CES Boxing's season-ending matinee show at the Fox Theater in Foxwoods. UFC Fight Pass will stream the action. source: ces press release
