Filipino super flyweights Jayson Mama and Carlo Demecillo will fight each other on a Sanman Boxing show on July 11th at the Sunken Arena in Malungon, Philippines. Having turned professional in 2016, “Smasher” Mama brings a fine 19-1 record with 10 KOs to the dance. In December of 2021, he challenged Sunny Edwards for the IBF world flyweight title in Dubai, losing a unanimous decision after a game effort. Demecillo, 17-8-2 with 10 KOs, turned pro in 2013 and has had a rougher campaign, although many of his losses were questionable and three of them came by split decision. He is a former three-time Philippines national champion at bantamweight.
