Paul Malignaggi, who showed incredible courage in a failed bid to defeat Miguel Cotto, suffered a broken orbital bone in the middle rounds of his decision loss at New York City's Madison Square Garden on Saturday. Malignaggi completed the bout, even winning some of the later rounds, but had to skip the press conference in favor of a trip to the hospital, where it was determined he suffered a broken orbital, the bone under his right eye. By Sunday, Maliganggi was back home resting, where he received a telephone call from Arturo Gatti, a man who knows a thing or two about coming back after punishing wars. Malignaggi's promoter, Lou DiBella vowed Malignaggi would be back after a proper rest. "We are all incredibly proud of Paulie and his performance on Saturday, and after a six to eight month rest, he will begin his campaign for another title shot," said DiBella. source: DiBella Entertainment
