Malachy Farrell DQ3 Marcellus Brown... A six round heavyweight main event in Chicago was won by Malachy Farrell (16-1, 12 KOs) over 7 foot tall Marcellus Brown (25-17-1, 12 KOs). Farrell and Brown came out swinging from the start as both landed hard punches in round one. In round two, a cut was opened over the left eye of Farrell by a clash of heads. Brown was issued repeated warnings from referee John O'Brien to stop shoving Farrell with his shoulder and pulling his head down with his forearms. Round three saw Brown again warned to stop his illegal tactics. Brown then lost his cool and engaged the referee in a heated argument which caused the referee to disqualify Brown and award Farrell the win via third-round disqualification win. In a scene fit for America's Funniest Videos, Brown had to be pulled away from the referee by non other than the man he was fighting, Malachy Farrell.
Devin Vargas TKO4 Josh Gutcher... 2004 U.S. Olympic team captain Devin Vargas (13-0, 5 KOs) pummeled Josh Gutcher (18-7, 5KOs). The heavyweight threw everything he had, dismantling Gutcher when, the fight was stopped 1:38 into the fourth round, giving Vargas a victory by technical knockout.
Andy Lee TKO1 James Morrow... Andy Lee (12-0, 8 KOs) scored an opening round stoppage of James Morrow (11-7-2, 5 KOs) in a middleweight bout scheduled for eight rounds. Lee displayed tremendous punching power, putting Morrow down twice, leading referee Gerald Scott to call a halt to the proceedings at 2:43 of round one.
Jason Cintron W6 Damon Antoine... Jason Cintron (6-0, 3KOs) the younger brother of IBF welterweight champion Kermit Cintron won a split decision after six grueling rounds with Damon Antonie (6-19-1, 3 KOs).
Ray Robinson W4 Jason Jordan... Junior welterweight "The New" Ray Robinson (5-0) set the pace with a first-round knockdown en route to a unanimous decision victory over Jason Jordan, who is just 4-15-2. Â
