Mairis Briedis TKO3 Artur Mann... Fighting in his home city of Riga, Latvia, IBF cruiserweight champion Mairis Briedis (28-1, 20 KOs) made easy work of Germany's Artur Mann (17-2, 9 KOs), stopping the challenger in round three. The only downside for Briedis was a cut on the bridge of his nose. Briedis returned to the ring for the first time in over a year since his big win over Yuniel Dorticos in the finals of the World Boxing Super Series in September 2020. Briedis may be the best 200-pounder in the would, #2 to Lawrence Okolie at worst. Briedis' only loss was to Oleksandr Usyk, who currently holds three of the four heavyweight titles. Now age 36, the time is now for Briedis to make some big money, so a move to heavyweight could be in the offing.
