In a one-sided junior bantamweight bout, Luis Perez knocked Luis Bolano down three times en route to a sixth-round knockout. Perez had been inactive since 2003, but Bolano simply was not on his level. Perez knocked Bolano down in the second, fifth and sixth rounds, the last time with a body blow that didn't look incredibly solid but nonetheless left Bolano gasping for air. Bolano was the IBF mandatory contender, a rating that smacks of corruption considering Bolano was previously stopped by Mark Johnson yet was rated ahead of him even though he didn't have any subsequent wins.Â
