Press Release: Chicago welterweight Luciano “El Michicano” Perez will battle Ramiro Rivera this Friday, March 16th at Cicero Stadium, in Illinois. A native of Mexico, Perez’s aggressive style and knockout power have made him a favorite among Chicago fans. He lost his last bout, a war, against Jesus Soto Karass this past December in Houston, Texas. In August of 2006, Perez won a decision over Francisco Rincon in an outstanding battle at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago. He brings a record of 14-5-1 (12 KOs) into the battle with Rivera. The heavy handed Rivera, 4-3 (3 KOs) is a native of Nicaragua, now fighting out of Phoenix, Arizona. Said promoter Dominic Pesoli, “I’m very happy to bring Luciano back.
