West Australian-based trainer/manager Craig Christian contacted Boxingtalk.com earlier today to issue a challenge on behalf of his charge, 21-1 (11) Tunisian-born junior welterweight Naoufel Ben Rabah. The challenge is directed at another Australian-based African, Lovemore N'Dou, 39-7-1 (25). "At this stage we think Ben Rabah is ready for anyone in the world. He is a true African warrior, and he fights anybody that challenges him. He doesn't run scared like Lovemore N'Dou Will Do."
Christian continued, "Lovemore has had three chances at the highest level and he hasn't won. He might have come close a couple times in his eyes, but he hasn't won in three goes mate. He's fought some elite fighters, now he's rated up there, but we think we should be up there, not him. Ben Rabah will beat him easy."
Team Rabah are willing to put the money where their mouth is. Christian wants a $50,000, winner-takes-all match, and says local contingent D-Rush Promotions is willing to stage the contest.
