Lovemore N’dou Responds to Goossen-Tutor’s Tom Brown’s Comments

N’dou Given the OK to Fight with Other Promoters?

After hearing of Tom Brown’s comments in a recent interview with Boxingtalk, Lovemore added more to his own case by saying, “These guys [Goossen-Tutor] have had more shows than probably any promoter this year and if they really wanted to give me a fight, they would have easily done that. Tom talks about the combination of coming up on the wrong end of fights and the lack of meaningful opponents as the cause of my layoff. To me that’s just a load of bullshit. First, how can they expect me to come out on the right end of fights if I have to take these fights against world-class contenders in less than 10 days notice? Despite that I performed very well each time. In fact, many will agree with me that I beat Sharmba Mitchell. As for Miguel Cotto, I gave him the toughest fight of his career. Despite an injured rib in the 4th round, I had him running for dear life in the later rounds. Same goes for Junior Witter. That’s why you will never hear these fighters talk about a rematch with Lovemore Ndou. Because they know that with proper preparation, I will knock these fighters out.

About meaningful opponents, everyone that knows me well will tell you that I will fight anybody at any given day. I told the Goossens that I will fight anyone at 140lbs and 147lbs. In fact, I will even starve myself and make 135lbs for a meaningful fight.

Look, I don’t wanna sound like some spoiled brat who doesn’t appreciate nothing. I do appreciate everything Dan Goossen has done for me. In fact, you have never heard me say anything negative about him in the past. But hey man, I’m getting frustrated. I’m getting frustrated the shit out of me. What the heck am I supposed to do? These people are supposed to my promoters but they don’t even have the decency to return my phone calls or my emails. Fuck, time doesn’t wait for nobody! I’m not getting younger everyday. So I can’t afford to sit back and relax. Boxing is my life. And I have a family and a mortgage to take care of. So if Goossen/Tutor can’t give me fights, they should just do the right thing. Terminate the freaking contract and let me try my luck somewhere else. And I don’t think that’s asking for too much.”

NOTE:  On Friday morning December 2nd, Lovemore N’dou received the following message from Goossen-Tutor’s Tom Brown who reportedly gave Lovemore the OK to fight for other promoters, in which Lovemore then emailed and requested that Brown puts this all in writing.  BoxingTalk will continue to keep you updated on this matter.
