Lourdes Juarez wins vacant WBC 108-pound title

Lourdes Juárez W10 Yesenia Gómez... Lourdes “Little Lulu” Juárez became the new WBC light flyweight champion, by defeating fellow Mexican Yesenia “La Niña” Gómez via decision on a card that took place in Quintana Roo, Mexico. The WBC said the title  "was vacated by Yessica Nery Plata, to enjoy motherhood." Juarez is now a two-division champion, having previously held the WBC 115-pound title. The fight was a rematch  of a 2016 no contest. After ten intense  stanzas, the judges determined that there was no doubt about Juárez's victory. The exchange of blows was intense, fierce, unremitting and dramatic, round by round. The  37 year-old Juarez is now 37-4, while Gomez falls to 21-8-4.
