Vasiliy Lomachenko (pictured) and Teofimo López both complied with the WBC fourteen-day weigh-in rule, which requires that fourteen days before a WBC fight, the boxers must be no more than 5% over the division's weight limit. In the case of Lomachenko-Lopez, the fight will be for the world lightweight championship, which means they must make 135 pounds they day before the fight and 142 pounds, 4 ounces at the fourteen-day mark. Lomachenko, the WBC/WBA/WBO champion weighed 141.4 pounds. Lopez, according to the WBC, came in right at 142.4. The big fight is scheduled for October 17th at the MGM Grand Bubble in Las Vegas, and will be broadcast on ESPN.
