Press Release: Lion Hear Productions, which claims it owns the exclusive promotional rights to undefeated welterweight Antonio Mesquita denies that Mesquita will be fighting of Zef Ramirez’s July 5, 2006 show. Instead, Lion Heart claimsMesquita will fight on July 19, 2006 against Santo Pakau. Both shows are slated to air on ESPN2’s Wednesday Night Fights. According to Lion Heart’s press release, Mesquita "is a man with high integrity and honesty and would not fight on a card without honoring his previous contractual obligations. Luis Tapia, Mesquita’s trainer/manager, states that he was offered the fight on July 5, but he turned it down because he already signed to fight on July 19."
